The Ynglada-Guillot Foundation is convening the LIX 2022 International Drawing Competition

The Ynglada-Guillot Foundation, in collaboration with the Vila Casas Foundation and the Lluís Coromina Foundation, is convening the LIX 2022 International Drawing Competition.

Participants

All Spanish and foreign artists over the age of 18 can participate. It will be an indispensable condition that the works are original and have not been previously presented in another competition or exhibition. Only one work per participant can be submitted.

Thematic

The topic is free.

Technique

It must be a pure black and white drawing, made with a brush or pen, preferably in Chinese ink, and the pencil, fountain pen, ordinary ink and other means suitable for the jury may be accepted. Exceptionally, sepia or blood may be accepted to the exclusion of any other coloration.

Mides

The size of the drawing will be between 40 x 40 cm. and 90 x 90 cm. The selected drawings will be framed with a 2 cm slat. maximum and the drawing will be protected with methacrylate or similar, never glass. Works covered only with methacrylate fastened with metal screws or clamps will not be accepted. The appendix with all the data in clear and capital letters must be attached to the back of the presented table.

Submission of works for viewing and selection by the jury

Participants must send the following information to secretaria@racba.org between 1 and 30 April 2022:

- annex with all the data

- brief memory of the work - artist's resume

- image of the work with a resolution of 300 ppd., in TIFF or JPEG format and a maximum size of 2 MB., suitable for reproduction in the catalog.

The registration fee for participation is € 30.00 payable by bank transfer to the account: CAIXESXXX ES48 2100 3018 5522 0026 0951. Registrations that have not covered the corresponding fee on the set date will not be considered. Selection of finalist works

The jury will make a first selection in which it will review the proposals received.

Awards

The winning work is endowed with € 4,000.00, an indivisible prize. The drawing will become the property of the board of the Ynglada-Guillot Foundation, which will use it for the museum of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi. The jury may award up to 5 runners-up, if applicable. The winner of the prize will have a solo exhibition of his most recent drawings in the room of the Fundació Lluís Coromina, Espai Isern-Dalmau. The jury may declare the prize void. The winner assigns to the Ynglada-Guillot Foundation the rights of image, communication, publication and reproduction of the winning work in any message or medium. The award ceremony will take place during the opening of the exhibition.

Jury verdict and presentation

The verdict of the jury and the selection of works to be exhibited will be made public on June 30, 2022 at 18:00, during the public award ceremony. The exhibition of the drawings will be open between June 30 and July 30, 2022. The place where they will be exhibited will be the exhibition hall of the Fundació Lluís Coromina, Espai Isern-Dalmau, carrer Mallorca 305, local 2, of Barcelona. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m .; closed Sunday and Monday.
