The jury of the City of Palma Antoni Gelabert Prize for Visual Arts 2021 has already chosen the ten finalist works that will be eligible for this award and which are as follows:
Stir with a wooden stick, by Matteo Guidi; Dystopian cartographies, by Marta Jacarilla; Promises, Ro Caminal; The Sun and the Table, by Regina Giménez; Finger prints (triptych), by Marc Larré; Belonging to the caste of the eternally restless, by Diana Coca; Continuous view, 2100 meters above sea level, by Llorenç Ugas; Imitation of life, by Juan Carlos Bracho; Sheddings # 2, by Eva Fábregas and House of the sun, by Pedro Torres.
The jury for this edition is made up of Joan Carles Oliver, Roberta Bosco, Ana Laura Aláez, Pablo Martínez and Gonzalo Elvira. In addition to the quality of the works in the visual arts, the jury valued the careers of the participating artists, the diversity of techniques and gender parity.
The Ciutat de Palma Awards will be presented on January 20 from 7 pm at the Teatre Principal. After the gala, the exhibition of the Visual Arts Award will open at the Casal Solleric (from 8.30 pm).
