Memefest returns to the CCCB hall, with Marc Sarrats , Aihnoa Marzol , Janira Planes, Albert Lloreta, Christo Casas , Samantha Hudson, Núria Guiu and Daniel Moreno, a casual and cathartic cultural event to think and laugh about humorous creation in the networks. In this third edition, and after months of social isolation and a lot of screen, Memefest arrives more strongly than ever, to become a meeting place for fans of memes and digital culture.

Mirrors of collective moods, powerful transmitters of criticism and public opinion, memes are increasingly present in our lives (especially in pandemic times). In this third edition of the festival of folklore and humor on the Internet we will talk about memes as cultural artifacts that, in the same way that they make us laugh and keep us company, also serve as bait in disinformation and propaganda campaigns or they show the most dysfunctional aspects of the creative industry.

Toxic relationships between creators, audiences and corporations or the unstoppable rise of choreography and dance in Titktok , a medium that perfectly reproduces the logic of meme, are other themes that will be present at Memefest 2021, which, like every edition , will bring to the hall of the CCCB a good representation of creators and experts in digital culture and memes.
